Barkstall E-Learning Plan

Communication with Staff, Students, and Families:

  • The District shall announce the possibility of an E-Learning Day as soon as practice (but no later than 2:00 p.m. the day before) in order to provide time for staff to gather resources and prepare accordingly.  It will also allow families to make necessary arrangements.

  • Once the possibility of an E-Learning Day has been announced, the District will continue to monitor the weather forecast closely.  As soon as it becomes clear that we will not be able to hold school in person, a final decision to hold an E-Learning Day will be made and another announcement will go out to staff and families.

Expectations:

  • This is a recorded attendance day so students are expected to engage in e-learning. If your student cannot engage in e-learning, send an email to barkstalloffice@u4sd.org

  • Students will bring their chromebooks home and keep it charged.  Students need to have their Clever Badge to log onto their computers.

  • Students will log onto either Zoom or Google Meets from 8:55 - 11:25 a.m.

  • Students will complete independent work assigned through Google Classroom or worksheet packets that have been sent home with students.

  • Students will follow expectations as in the student handbook/code of conduct.
