Volunteering Opportunities

About Our Volunteers

Volunteers are welcomed at all Unit 4 schools. Each year over 1,000 volunteers
donate over 15,000 hours of time to our schools: tutoring, mentoring, or assisting
in our classrooms. Public school districts cannot success in their mission without
the dedication and support of the many volunteers who work in our classrooms.
We are grateful for the caring and commitment of our volunteers and can honestly
say we cannot do it without you.

Volunteering Opportunities

Barkstall Elementary School has created an educational environment that is rooted in the Arts. With an extensively diverse population, students are exposed to the heritage of many nationalities as they create projects and celebrate holidays and events from all over the world. Volunteers are able to assist the teachers through arranging class parties, preparing materials for large projects and displays, helping with music performances and a variety of PTA events and activities. The parents at Barkstall are a close-knit group that are very devoted to their school and the success of their students.
